Know Your Neighbor (KYN) lets you create a pseudonymous campaign-member key and participate in eligible AI for Wisconsin member polls. Five Letter Agency operates KYN. The Korey Streich Campaign Committee, operating publicly as AI for Wisconsin, is a separate relying party.

Joining

You create and control a key on your device. Joining does not require your legal name, email, social account, exact address, government identifier, or operator approval. You must be an adult and control only the KYN subject you use as your membership for a poll.

KYN prevents more than one current ballot from the same KYN subject in one poll. This release does not prove that one natural person cannot create multiple KYN subjects. Every result discloses that limitation and must not be described as representative of Wisconsin, proof of residency, voter registration, elector eligibility, or an official election.

Binding member polls

Only the campaign may seed an initial-position question. Before opening, the campaign fixes the exact question, choices, eligible-member snapshot, seven-day period, quorum, majority, replacement, receipt, challenge, result, review, and expiry rules. You choose Support, Oppose, or Abstain explicitly.

One current ballot is counted for your poll-specific authorization. You may replace it until close. Each accepted ballot returns a private receipt. KYN does not receive your choice. The ballot service does not receive your KYN subject or device key.

A passing result automatically creates the stated campaign position under the rule accepted before opening. No candidate acceptance or veto follows the result in the normal path. A tie, no substantive majority, or insufficient participation creates no position.

Your responsibilities and rights

Keep control of your device key and recovery code. Do not share them or use more than one subject to evade a poll rule. You may inspect the current notice, withdraw consent, request correction or deletion, request a portable export, and use the published challenge path. Recovery may require accountable review because it changes the key controlling an existing subject.

KYN is public-beta infrastructure with disclosed availability and data-loss limits. Sensitive identity evidence is disabled. Service suspension, a proved integrity failure, or recovery from backup may temporarily prevent enrollment or voting. Existing receipts, results, challenges, and corrections remain part of the required lineage.
